Rose Bowl May Rock to Sounds of Lilith Fair Pop Concert

The Rose Bowl may rock with sounds of the Lilith Fair pop concert this June if the Pasadena City Council gives the thumbs-up to the tour, which features female musicians.

The municipal stadium’s board has already approved the June 25 event, expected to draw a crowd of 40,000. The council will vote on the issue later this month.

The City Council must approve all events beyond the first 12. The Lilith Fair concert would be the 13th event slated for the stadium in 1998. Among the artists featured in Lilith Fair 1997, which toured in more than two dozen cities, were Sheryl Crow, Joan Osborne and Fiona Apple.
