It’s a weekend of pumped-up pectorals in Burbank when the second annual Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Xena: Warrior Princess Convention hits the Burbank Airport Hilton on Saturday and Sunday. Danielle Cormack, Hudson Leick and Brad Carpenter are scheduled to talk with fans and sign autographs on Saturday; Carpenter, Lucy Lawless, Kevin Smith and Robert Trebor will attend Sunday. Fans can also see behind-the-scenes footage, merchandise for sale and onstage presentations.

Perhaps America’s best-loved and best-known folk artist, Grandma Moses did not make painting her career until she was 78. Moses painted more than 1,500 pictures in the last 23 years of her life. Her subjects came from childhood memories in Hoosick Valley, N.Y., and paid tribute to rural living. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library presents “Grandma Moses: An American Original,” a collection of oil and yarn paintings, personal memorabilia--including her easel, ceramics, historic photos and more--never before seen outside the Bennington Museum in Vermont. Also on display is Edward R. Murrow’s televised interview with the artist.

There’s a skateboard trick called “melancholy,” and four guys from Sweden twisted the word into “Millencolin” for the name of their band, which records for L.A.’s Epitaph Records. Its melodic hard-core sound has caught on with the skate crowd, and Millencolin’s first U.S. headlining tour includes a show at the Roxy with Pulley, a Simi Valley foursome fronted by Dodgers’ pitcher Scott Radinsky.

Olympic champions Kristi Yamaguchi, Scott Hamilton and Katarina Witt, Olympic pairs skaters Elena Bechke and Denis Petrov and world champion Kurt Browning are among the Olympic and world champion figure skaters who will take the ice for “Stars on Ice” Saturday night at the Pond and Sunday afternoon at the Forum. The 57-city tour, benefiting the Make-a-Wish Foundation for the ninth year, features an eclectic mix of music, from Led Zeppelin to Louis Armstrong.
