Firm Is Picked to Study Turtle Rock Project
After months of inactivity, work will resume on an environmental study of a controversial 2,500-home Irvine Co. project proposal north of Turtle Rock.
A review panel set up to interview candidates for the job recently selected the Templeton Planning Group of Newport Beach.
In September, the City Council, in response to angry residents, terminated its contract with another firm to prepare the report.
About 75 Turtle Rock residents had urged the council to fire the firm because it had worked for the Irvine Co. on other projects.
