Santa Clara 78, Loyola Marymount 49--Reserve guard Nathan Fast scored 18 points to lead Santa Clara to the West Coast Conference victory at Santa Clara.
Fast scored 11 points in the first half to help spark Santa Clara (13-3, 4-0) to a 49-25 lead.
Loyola (4-12, 0-4) shot 26.7%, didn’t score during the first 5:59 of the second half and didn’t make a second-half basket until Tim Kennedy made a three-point shot with 12:15 left.
Guard Willie Allen led the Lions with 14 points.
