Share

About 300 young inventors from local elementary and junior high schools will gather at Irvine Valley College on Saturday for the Astounding Inventions of the Future fair.

The event, which highlights handmade inventions by students in kindergarten through eighth grade, will be from noon to 3 p.m. at the college’s Computer Science and Technologies Building, the Physical Sciences Building and the campus courtyard.

The fair, which is free and open to the public, promotes mathematics and science education and includes students from Irvine and Tustin.

The inventions at the fair were selected from about 3,000 entries.

Last year, one inventor, 7-year-old Joey Agosta, created the Never Ending Toothpaste toothbrush, which provides a continuous flow of toothpaste through the handle.
