LOYOLA MARYMOUNT (4-12, 0-4) at PEPPERDINE (10-6, 2-2), 5, Fox Sports West 2, KIEV (870), KXLU-FM (88.9 Westchester)--Pepperdine has a chance to make a move in the West Coast Conference, playing three of its next four games at home against the bottom three teams. The Waves are coming off a comeback victory at San Francisco after losing by six to WCC co-leader Santa Clara. Loyola lost by 24 and 29 points to the same teams last weekend. Without point guard and leading scorer Haywood Eaddy, sidelined because of a broken finger, the Lions shot a season-low 28.7% against Santa Clara. Pepperdine guard Jelani Gardner has picked up his game in WCC play and is averaging 13.7 points and 4.9 assists. Wave center omm’A Givens returned to practice Tuesday after serving a two-game suspension for punching and breaking the jaw of teammate Aaron Butler. Givens will not start and his playing status is questionable. Pepperdine and Loyola split their two meetings last season, the visiting team winning each time.
