26 Teachers Seek Move to New School

Share

Twenty-six teachers in the Conejo Valley have asked to transfer to Lang Ranch Elementary School when it opens in the fall, Assistant Supt. Jody Dunlap said this week.

But the Conejo Valley Unified School District’s 20th elementary school only has room for 17 to 21 teachers, as officials estimate about 400 to 450 students will attend the school in its first year, she said. The school can hold about 600 children.

Interviewing will begin this week. As for the vacancies left by teachers who have transferred, Dunlap said she will be conducting a job fair March 21 at Newbury Park High School. She also will be recruiting from universities and other schools in the spring.
