‘Junior’ Gotti’s Bail Hearing Is Postponed
A hearing to decide if John “Junior” Gotti, the man charged with being one of the top bosses in the Gambino crime family, will be granted bail or remain behind bars until his trial will continue Tuesday. In the meantime, Gotti will remain in prison. “He is a danger to the community based on his executive level in the Gambino crime family,” said Carol Sipperly, the assistant U.S. attorney who represented the government at the hearing. He is charged with a complete mob takeover of Scores, a popular Manhattan topless nightclub. The indictment also included charges of extortion, labor racketeering, gambling, loan sharking and running a telephone card scam.
