Flight attendants asked a federal court in Miami to reject a proposed $349-million settlement with tobacco companies that includes no money for individual flight attendants who became ill after breathing secondhand smoke. The proposed settlement called for the creation of a $300-million medical research foundation and payment of $49 million in legal fees and expenses.
