Paintings of Mother Teresa to Be Shown
A Port Hueneme artist’s oil paintings of Mother Teresa will be displayed at the Ventura County Gull Wings Children’s Museum Feb. 14 through March 14.
Mamun Reazi met Mother Teresa in 1980 while he was studying art at Dhaka University in Bangladesh. He said his paintings cover “many different angles” of the famous nun’s life.
Reazi’s art has been displayed at the Mother Teresa Charity Mission in Calcutta, the National Art Gallery in Bangladesh and the Hollywood Wax Museum.
Gull Wings is at 418 W. 4th St. The display will be open Wednesdays through Fridays from 1 to 5 p.m.
Reazi teaches design at Ventura College.
