If picnic appetizers aren’t your strong suit, head for Mr. Marcel Cheese Shop & Deli at the Farmers Market. The shop’s caviar cheese is legendary. It’s a spreadable blend of cream cheese and spices, topped with paprika, caraway seeds and, in the center, a dab of black whitefish caviar. Packed in plastic containers, the cheese is easy to transport and serve. All you have to do is open the container and set it in the center of a plate of crackers. A perfect addition to a wine and cheese picnic.

There are three sizes: small, which is enough for two people; medium, which serves three to four;, and large, for six to eight. A tip: Buy more than you need so you can enjoy the leftovers.
