From Times Wire Reports

The Army is investigating why two civilian wives were on a helicopter that crashed in the Bahamas, killing both. The UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter went down near Georgetown on the island of Great Exuma, the Miami-based U.S. Southern Command said. A command spokesman identified the women as Pam Guido, wife of Chief Warrant Officer David Guido, 37, and Rebecca Riddel, wife of the other pilot, Chief Warrant Officer David Riddel, 30. Also aboard was Sgt. William Westgate, 31. He and Riddel remained hospitalized in serious but stable condition, the spokesman said. Guido was released after treatment. The helicopter, from the Army’s 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Ga., had been deployed in support of U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration operations in the Bahamas and the nearby Turks and Caicos Islands.
