Cafu Takes Shot at French Attack

The word games began well before today’s final between Brazil and France.

Brazilian defender Cafu, who plays in Italy and knows many of the French players who also play for clubs there, doesn’t think much of the French team he and Brazil will face in today’s final.

“The French players seem to plan their buildups as if they are not quite sure where the goal is or how to get to it,” he said. “They do not have one single striker who is world class, yet if you look through the Brazil team, we have goal scorers scattered throughout--all of them world class.”
