Applications Sought for Area Hero Award
The Conejo-Las Virgenes Future Foundation plans to present an award to a local hero from the greater Conejo area who has performed an act of heroism, extraordinary service or had a significant effect on the community.
The public is invited to submit candidates for the award, called the Doris LaViolette Citizenship Award. The award will be presented at the Conejo-Las Virgenes Future Foundation social on Oct. 23.
Candidates must live in Agoura, Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Newbury Park, Oak Park, Thousand Oaks or Westlake Village.
