Disney Offers Free Preview of Service for Children

Disney is offering Macintosh home computer users a free preview of its online service for children, Disney’s Blast Online (www.disneyblast.com/mac), company officials have announced.

The free preview is part of the Macintosh beta test for Disney Blast, which is being conducted with assistance from Apple.

During the test period, Mac users will be able to try the subscription-based service at no charge. When the test period ends, the fee will be $5.95 per month or $39.95 per year.

The launch of Disney’s Blast Online for the Mac comes as Apple is set to bring to market its futuristic “Internet-age” computer, dubbed iMac. Apple is expected to post its third consecutive quarterly profit this week.
