An undercover sting of 93 Simi Valley stores and restaurants has ended with 13 employees being cited for allegedly selling alcohol to minors, authorities said.

In the undercover operation, police decoys ages 18 and 19 went into businesses between June 17 and July 10, Simi Police Chief Randy G. Adams said. Sales were made to minors at 13 restaurants, Adams said.

The employees were issued misdemeanor citations, Adams said. A report will be provided to the Department of Alcohol Beverage Control for administrative proceedings against the businesses. Sanctions could range from a fine to license revocation.
