42 Graduate from Explorer Academy

Forty-two young Ventura County residents have become the latest class to graduate from the Explorer Academy.

The three-week summertime academy was hosted by Ventura County Regional Law Enforcement, which is composed of representatives from the Sheriff’s Department and the Oxnard and Simi Valley police departments.

The graduates, ages 14 to 21, will now attend bimonthly meetings, participate in ride-alongs with patrol officers and assist deputies with special events.

The graduation ceremony was held Friday night at Rio Mesa High School in Camarillo. The program was attended by many of the county’s top law enforcement officers.

The graduates include: Karen Bagu, Veronica Carranza, Roxanne Davis, Renee Dyer, Lucy Eidson, Jennifer Wilson, Bertha Villa, Ricardo R. Vega, Gabriela Rios, Corina Polo, Christopher Gooden, Aracely Fernandez Mendez, Shannon Berdine, Joseph Britton, Erin Carrott, Dan Corrales, John M. Gunn, Jason Quartararo, Jeff Quartararo, Mark Whaley, Andrew Goldstein, Jeff Alejo.

Also graduating are: Janie Howard, Sean Garcia, James Lawrence House, Logan William Judah, Craig Kelly, Jami Kraus, Adam M. Lady, Michael Murr, Bree Lynn Nogueira, Bryan Raives, Miranda M. Schrader, Michael Steiner, Jeffrey Wilson, Jackson Wise, Nicholas Curry, Marshall Easlick, Erin Goss, Adena Lynn Harrison, Elizabeth Mejia and Robert Brian Smith.
