ORANGE COUNTY EARNINGS

Microsemi Corp: The Santa Ana semiconductor company reported net income of $2.3 million, or 20 cents a share, for the third fiscal quarter, down 23% from $3 million, or 28 cents a share, for the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter ended June 28 declined 8% to $39.3 million from $42.6 million. The company said the results reflected a slowdown in bookings from several market segments, especially the commercial space market. Year-to-date net income was up 22% to $8.9 million, or 79 cents a share, from $7.3 million, or 70 cents a share, in the first nine months of the prior fiscal year. Revenue advanced 5% to $124.5 million from $119.1 million.
