Sharp Cat Is Still Perfect at Del Mar
Making her first start since winning Hollywood Park’s Bayakoa Handicap in a walkover on Dec. 7, Sharp Cat easily won Del Mar’s Bayakoa, winning by 5 1/2 lengths in 1:35 for the mile.
Racing only two opponents, the 4-year-old Storm Cat filly went right to the front under jockey Corey Nakatani, put away A.P. Assay after six furlongs, and coasted home in her debut for trainer Wally Dollase.
Owned by Prince Ahmed Salman’s Thoroughbred Corp., Sharp Cat is unbeaten in three races here and is perfect in four races at a mile.
