Body of Woman Found by Surfers off Hermosa Beach
Surfers in Hermosa Beach found the fully clothed body of a woman floating in the water off 24th Street on Sunday morning, authorities said.
They dragged the woman onto the beach, where paramedics determined that she was dead, said Sgt. Nancy Cook of the Hermosa Beach Police Department. Police had not identified the woman by late Sunday.
The woman was between 30 and 40 years old, 5 feet, 4 inches tall, and weighed about 100 pounds. She had fair skin, blond hair and blue eyes and was wearing a purple sweat suit and a gold watch.
She was found at 9:30 a.m. and, based on the condition of her body, had not been in the water very long, Cook said.
