Goldwater Cartoon
Paul Conrad’s June 1 editorial cartoon on the death of Barry Goldwater is reprehensible and pathetic at the same time. Conrad’s drawing implies that Goldwater is from the biplane era, yet Conrad’s New Deal political views are equally obsolete. Like the biplane, they and their value died six decades ago.
Leave it to Conrad to insult everyone--even the dead--who does not share his archaic political convictions.
