Jogging Trail Rapist Sketch Is Released

Sheriff’s investigators Thursday released a sketch (below) of a rapist who attacked a woman jogging on a bike trail on Old El Toro Road on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old victim told police she had been running along the trail at 11:30 a.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and pulled her into the bushes. He then assaulted her and fled the scene. The victim was treated at a hospital and later released.
Police said they do not have any witnesses and that the victim did not see any other people around during her jog except the attacker. The trail, across from the busy intersection of El Toro Road near Marguerite Parkway, may not have been immediately visible to passers-by. “That particular stretch of road is out of sight of the average motorist,” Rivera said.
The assailant is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5 feet 7 and 150 pounds, with thin, light brown hair, light-colored eyes and a thin mustache. He may have a rash from contact with poison oak during the rape.
Anyone with information should call the Sheriff’s Department at (714) 647-7419.
