Servite’s Luciano Leads North to Victory

Servite’s Will Luciano shot a five-under-par 67 to lead the North to a 9-3 victory over the South at the Orange County All-Star best-ball match Thursday at Tustin Ranch.

Luciano and Loara’s Daniel Jung (77) combined to defeat Santa Margarita’s Jimmy Pittenger (78) and Foothill’s Nick Seymour (74) in direct competition.

They also earned a point for winning the team best-ball competition.

The North was also helped by Fountain Valley’s Eric Hird (71), Valencia’s Dalen DeMary (72) and Ocean View’s Trevor Young (75).

Ryan Gale of Huntington Beach, Carey Fox of El Dorado and Steve Sterry of Cypress each shot 77.

Chad Towersey of Corona del Mar led the South with 72.

Other South team members were Laguna Hills’ Mark Hancock (76), Irvine’s Justin Neiman (79), Dana Hills’ Gary Brandmeier (80), Estancia’s Casey Busch (81), and Trabuco Hills Greg Delfum (84).
