Vigilantes Finish Trip With Loss

The Bend Bandits scored three runs in the seventh inning and another in the eighth to defeat the Vigilantes, 7-5, in a Western Baseball League game in Bend, Ore.

The Vigilantes were 4-6 on their first trip of the season, which concluded Sunday.

In the seventh inning, Mark Charbonnet’s RBI double and Gordon Powell’s RBI single keyed the offense for Bend (8-8).

Marcus McGowan scored Bend’s final run when he stole home after being involved in a rundown.

The Vigilantes (6-10) scored first on Alan Burke’s RBI double in the first inning.

Mission Viejo added to its lead in the second inning on Brad Genaro’s two-run single.

The Vigilantes’ last run came in the ninth when Phil Kernan homered.
