Irvine-based Ballet Pacifica has announced three of the four choreographers who will participate in its annual two-week Pacifica Choreographic Project, beginning July 12. They are Douglas Becker, a founding member of William Forsythe’s Frankfurt Ballet; Robin Stiehm, head of her Minnesota-based Dancing People Company; and Raymond Van Mason, a principal dancer with Ballet West in Salt Lake City and founder of Out of the Wings dance company, also in Salt Lake City.
A fourth choreographer, Daniel Ezralow, known for his work in Momix, was scheduled to participate but had to withdraw because of commitments in Europe. A replacement will be announced.
The new ballets will be presented as works-in-progress July 25 at 8 p.m. at South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa. Information: (949) 851-9930.
