A Santa Monica Boulevard advisory committee will hold a public meeting tonight to hear a summary of last week’s pedestrian and cyclist safety workshops.
City officials sponsored workshops Friday and Saturday to hear concerns about pedestrian and cyclist safety on Santa Monica Boulevard, and to enlist the community’s help in developing solutions to safety problems, said Helen Goss, a city spokeswoman.
The 40-member advisory committee advises city officials and design consultants on refurbishing Santa Monica between Doheny Drive and La Brea Avenue.
The city is negotiating to take over maintenance of the roadway from the state.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in Fiesta Hall at Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Blvd.
