6 Are Arrested in Counterfeiting Case
While searching for a felon, Ventura County sheriff’s deputies walked in on what they believe is a counterfeiting operation at a Camarillo hotel room.
Six suspects from Ventura and Ojai were arrested at the Del Norte Inn after officers discovered check-washing equipment, fake currency on uncut paper sheets, computers, color printers, handguns and drugs, authorities said.
The men and women were arrested on suspicion of counterfeiting and possession of drugs and weapons and are being held at the Ventura County Jail in lieu of bail.
They are Ventura residents Edward Paul Schulze, 37, Georgia Lee Hurt, 39, Joanne Christine Fernandez, 24, Michelle Ann Davilla, 29, and Trevor Cory Knight, 19. Shauna Marie Nelson, 19, of Ojai also was arrested.
