Coconut Club to Mark Fourth of July Poolside
Merv Griffin will celebrate the Fourth of July by moving his new big-band night spot, the Coconut Club, poolside for the night.
The club, normally inside the Beverly Hilton, will take up the hotel’s swimming hole when it turns into the Coconut Club Under the Stars Poolside for the night, with dancing to Bill Elliott’s Big Swing Orchestra from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
The event will include a buffet, complimentary dance lessons and free parking.
