In another twist on the “if you can’t beat them, join them” concept, a church in Altenkirchen, Germany, is showing World Cup matches on a giant screen, and then inviting viewers to participate in a debate about God and soccer. Germany’s 1990 World Cup-winning striker, Rudi Voller, is one of the men behind the idea.
