Burke Powers Vigilantes to Victory
Alan Burke hit two home runs and drove in a season-high seven runs as the Vigilantes beat Tri-City, 13-5, in a Western Baseball League game Sunday in Pasco, Wash.
Burke’s performance moved him into the league lead in home runs (nine) and runs batted in (37). He also scored three runs.
Bodie Shepherd added two RBIs for Mission Viejo (14-14), which scored six runs in the sixth to lead, 8-3.
Wally Ritchie (4-1), making his third start of the season, got the victory. He gave up nine hits and three runs in 5 1/3 innings.
It was the sixth victory in eight games for Mission Viejo.
