Re “Elevator Complaints Go Up at City Hall,” June 19: The jury is in--members of the Los Angeles City Council and department heads (already earning a “fat” 100k per annum) are more important and their time is more valuable than rank-and-file city employees or the general public. By all means, give them a private elevator, so they need not wait or interface with the general public. How about a private cafeteria, bathroom and parking garage while we are at it. In fact, let’s give them a private building, so they never have to meet the people who put them in office.
Here’s an idea; let them take the stairs, if they are in such a hurry. Heaven knows most of them could use the exercise!
