Incentives Offered for Home Buyers

To encourage home ownership, the Redevelopment Agency is launching the city’s first residential loan program. The agency will pay as much as 95% of a down payment for homes priced under $220,000 bought in the city, said Muriel Ullman, redevelopment and housing manager.
To qualify, residents must pay at least 5% of the down payment and have good credit and an income that matches or falls below the median for Orange County, which is $46,050 a year for one person; $52,650 for two; $59,200 for three; $65,800 for four; $71,050 for five and $76,350 for six.
