Power Failure Affects Homes, Businesses
About 2,750 east Ventura residences were without power early Wednesday after an underground electrical switch failed.
The outage occurred about 3:45 a.m, Southern California Edison reported. It affected homes and businesses bounded by California 126 to the north, Ralston Street to the south, Walter Street to the west and Robin Avenue to the east.
Crews restored power to most customers within an hour, but some were without power until about 10:20 a.m., Edison spokesman Steve Hansen said.
