3 Bruins Taken in Second Round
For a short time Wednesday night, it looked as if former UCLA Bruin Toby Bailey wouldn’t have to go far to begin his NBA career. Then the phone rang.
Shortly after being drafted by the Lakers with the 45th overall pick, Bailey, 6 feet 5, received a call from Phoenix, informing him he was traded to the Suns for future considerations.
Jelani McCoy, another former Bruin who expected to go higher, was selected by Seattle with the 33rd pick.
J.R. Henderson, a 6-8 1/2 forward was the third former Bruin to be drafted, going to Vancouver with the 56th pick.
