All week long, Stanford’s players simmered over their blowout loss at Arizona. They got all the anger out of their systems Thursday night against visiting Oregon.

David Moseley scored 19 points as No. 11 Stanford clinched second place in the Pacific 10 Conference by taking a big lead and coasting to a 95-67 victory over the Ducks.

The Cardinal, 25-4 overall and 14-3 in the Pac-10, took a 17-point halftime lead and built the margin to 27 early in the second half. Stanford was 10 for 14 from three-point range and outrebounded Oregon, 33-19.

“This win shows we can bounce back after the shellacking we got from Arizona,” said Moseley of Saturday’s 90-58 loss to Arizona. “That game taught us that we have to punish people like we got punished.”

Arthur Lee had 16 points for Stanford and Ryan Mendez had 13.

“Our guys were really testy on Monday coming back from Arizona,” Stanford Coach Mike Montgomery said. “We practiced hard but we didn’t do any contact Monday or Tuesday because I thought they were going to kill each other.”

Terik Brown had 19 points and A.D. Smith had 15 for Oregon (13-13, 8-9), which entered the game having won six of its previous eight games.

Oregon State 46, California 43--Jerome Vaden’s three-point basket with 55 seconds remaining at Oakland put the Beavers (13-16, 3-14) ahead for good in a victory over the Golden Bears (11-15, 7-10) to end a six-game losing streak.

Vaden, who had a game-high 19 points, made a fallaway jumper after Sean Marks had given Cal a 43-41 lead on a 14-foot jumper with 1:14 remaining.

Those turned out to be the last points for the Bears, who missed their final four shots.

Marks and Thomas Kilgore led Cal with 10 points apiece.
