ANNIVERSARY CONCERT: Glendale Adventist Medical Center will sponsor a free concert marking the 25th anniversary of the award-winning Heritage Singers at 5 and 8 tonight at the Glendale High School Auditorium, 1440 E. Broadway. The seven-member choir will sing gospel favorites it has performed throughout the U.S. and on mission tours to 50 countries. With more than 70 albums, the singers also have released music videos highlighting praise gatherings and tours in Australia, Brazil, the Philippines and the Caribbean. Special guests include former group members and concert pianist Sam Ocampo. Seating, which is limited, is on a first-come, first-served basis. Information: (818) 409-8134.

DEDICATION: The Rt. Rev. Vernon R. Byrd, bishop for the Western states districts of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, will preside over dedication services at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Parks Chapel AME Church, 1102 4th St., San Fernando. Parks Chapel bought the facility early last year from the First Presbyterian Church of San Fernando, which closed. But the Rev. Jordan Davis, pastor of Parks Chapel, said the congregation waited until this year--the 50th anniversary of founding--to hold the dedication. The Pacoima Mass Choir, directed by the Rev. PURIM CELEBRATIONS: Kol Tikvah will celebrate Purim--a Jewish holiday that commemorates the Biblical tale of the survival of Persian Jews from destruction by King Haman--with a carnival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the temple, 20400 Ventura Blvd., Woodland Hills. DREAM WORKSHOP: Holy Spirit Retreat Center will offer DreamWork, a four-session workshop that examines dreams to tap into wells of insight and creativity, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. starting Wednesday at the center, 4316 Lanai Road, Encino.
