Charity Plans Annual Rebuilding Day Event
A housing repair group focusing on the needs of low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and those with disabilities, is preparing for its annual Rebuilding Day on April 25.
“We have completed selection of 24 qualified sites for our 1998 Rebuilding Day from the target cities of Santa Ana and Orange/El Modena,” said Cy Baumann, president of Christmas in April Serving Orange County.
Event planners, who said they are accepting donations of building materials and supplies, are expecting more than 900 volunteers to participate in the event.
In its eighth year, the organization has repaired more than 100 homes and nonprofit agency buildings.
