A bomb exploded on a train in Punjab province, killing at least five people and injuring 20. A railway official said the train was traveling to Lahore, the capital of Punjab, from Kasur, about 31 miles to the south. The blast followed an explosion Monday aboard an express train in Punjab in which at least seven people died and 35 were wounded. Punjab province Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said the train blasts were “part of conspiracies of anti-Pakistan elements.” An earlier bomb blast outside a court in the southern province of Sindh injured at least 13 people, including six police officers, the official APP news agency said. A statement by the Sukkur town administration said the blast at the court was a time bomb planted under a cabin used by a petition writer.
