Justice Kennedy Will Lecture at Law School

Share

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy will visit Whittier Law School next month for formal dedication of the 15-acre campus on Harbor Boulevard.

Whittier opened to students in August but scheduled the ceremony for April 14, in part to accommodate Kennedy’s schedule.

The justice will speak at the dedication and teach day and evening classes over two days. Whittier faculty do not know exactly what he will lecture on but they expect him to address constitutional law.

The law school relocated from Los Angeles to accommodate growth and compete against Orange County law schools without national accreditation. Chapman Law School has since won provisional American Bar Assn. accreditation.

Free and open to the public, the event begins at 10:30 a.m. at Whittier Law School, 3333 Harbor Blvd. Information: (714) 444-4141.
