Tina Ramirez’s New York-based Ballet Hispanico appears in the Luckman Theatre at Cal State L.A. on Saturday, dancing Ann Reinking’s propulsive “Ritmo y Ruido,” Maria Rovira’s impressionistic “Poema Infinito” and George Faison’s dance drama “Idol Obsession,” about slain pop star Selena.

VIDEO

Talk about hot stuff. “The Full Monty,” the sleeper hit of 1997, has picked up four Oscar nominations, including best film. The British comedy about a group of unemployed blokes who decide to earn money by becoming male strippers is as poignant as it is funny. The film arrives on video on Tuesday.

ART

Nan Goldin’s signature photographs recording New York’s gritty bohemian society of the 1970s and ‘80s, as well as her more subtle and introspective new work, will be included in “Nan Goldin: Reflections Through a Golden Eye, 1975-1998,” opening Saturday at Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills.

Headlined by the Offspring and Wyclef Jean & the Refugee All-Stars, today’s fifth annual Board AID concert at Bear Mountain Ski Resort in Big Bear raises funds for AIDS awareness and prevention. Also on the bill for the all-day show: the Specials, Steel Pulse, Royal Crown Revue and One Hit Wonder.
