Motorcyclist Critical After Canyon Crash
A motorcyclist who evidently lost control and crashed off a canyon road was reported in critical condition Saturday night after being airlifted to Western Medical Center in Santa Ana.
Irvine Police Sgt. Susan Davis said the man was driving northbound on Laguna Canyon Road south of the San Diego Freeway about 8 p.m. when the motorcycle ran off the road. No other vehicles apparently were involved in the crash.
The victim, whose name was not released, was being evaluated by doctors, a nursing supervisor at the hospital said late Saturday.
