REGIONAL PEOPLE
* Dr. Lynn R. Kong, a physician with Ventura County Hematology Oncology Specialists in Ventura, has been designated a diplomate, certified in the sub-specialty of medical oncology, by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Kong specializes in cancer and diseases of the blood. She is a member of the Ventura County Cancer Network and sits on the advisory board for the Cancer Center of Ventura County.
* Jerry M. Fish has been named managing partner of the Central Coast General Office of New York Life Insurance Co. The office, which serves Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, has 44 agents and 20 support staff.
Before his appointment, Fish was a sales manager in the company’s San Francisco office. The Central Coast office is at 300 E. Esplanade Drive, Suite 1500, Oxnard.
* Cheri R. Parks has been hired as a physical therapist at Advantage Physical Therapy in Ventura. Her special interests are in the prevention and treatment of injuries from sports, particularly hockey and soccer.
Parks will be responsible for patient care, focusing on orthopedics, the spine, sports injuries and the rehabilitation and prevention of work-related injuries.
