Public’s Aid Sought in Search for Missing Girl
Authorities appealed Monday for the public’s help in finding a 12-year-old Pasadena girl who allegedly was abducted last month by her mother’s former boyfriend.
Olga Mendez apparently left Washington Middle School voluntarily on Feb. 6 with GustavoAnguiano, 40, who had just broken up with Olga’s mother after living with her for six months, Pasadena Police Lt. Keith Jones said.
A week later, Olga and Anguiano were spotted in a South Pasadena restaurant but have not been seen since. Jones said there is a chance Anguiano could be in Mexico.
The FBI is assisting in the search and anyone with any information is asked to call Pasadena police at (626) 744-3868, the FBI at (310) 477-6565 or the Center for Missing and Exploited Children at (800) 843-5678.
