Balmy Days Forecast for Rest of the Week

Despite a “severe episode of June gloom” on Monday, balmy weather is expected for the rest of the week in Ventura County, a National Weather Service meteorologist said Monday.

Monday’s drizzle and low clouds resulted from an unusually intense version of weather common in the early summer, with the marine layer persisting through much of the day, meteorologist Vladimir Ryshko said. “It looks like typical summertime weather,” he said.

For the rest of the week, residents can expect low clouds and fog in the mornings and nights. By the afternoons, it will be mostly sunny with the highs in the mid-60s to mid-70s, Ryshko said. The lows are expected to be in the mid-40s to mid-50s.

Ryshko predicted no rain in the area until early next week.
