Three Canyon Country teenagers were arrested early Sunday after allegedly detonating an acid bomb in the 27800 block of Galeton Road, sheriff’s deputies said.

No one was injured and no property was damaged in the explosion, which was caused by a chemical reaction, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Bob Killeen.

Ryan Baarstad, 18, and two 17-year-old boys were booked on suspicion of possessing, manufacturing, detonating and conspiring to explode destructive devices.

Baarstad was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, Lt. Daniel Castillo said. The juveniles were transferred to Sylmar Juvenile Hall.

Deputies from the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station responded to the scene about 2 a.m. and saw a group of people walking away from the spot where the explosion had taken place, authorities said.

Three members of the group were allegedly carrying explosive components, and were arrested. Deputies also discovered two unexploded acid bombs at the scene.
