School Gets Approval for Expansion
Despite the objections of several residents, the Christ Lutheran School at 820 W. Imperial Highway has been granted approval to increase student enrollment and add a temporary classroom trailer.
Residents had argued that the increase from 285 to 313 students would exacerbate traffic and noise problems. But the city’s Planning Commission recently voted unanimously to allow the expansion.
School officials said they are considering buying a second school site, which would reduce congestion at the Imperial Highway campus.
