Tourism Panel Seeks Input on Beach Use

Share

The city’s Tourism Commission has scheduled a “town hall” meeting Thursday to discuss possible uses for San Buenaventura State Beach.

The meeting, set to run from 7 to 9 p.m., will be held in the council chambers at Ventura City Hall, 501 Poli St.

Consultants hired by city officials have outlined management and maintenance issues for the state beach, which extends nearly two miles south from the Ventura Pier to Marina Park near the mouth of the Ventura Harbor.

Any comments the commission receives will be forwarded to the City Council in late May or early June.
