Battles Remain to Be Won
The Clippers must win at least two of their remaining 14 games to avoid finishing with their worst record in 11 years.
The 1986-87 club was 12-70. This Clipper team won’t sink that low. But with a 15-53 mark, it is still two shy of the two worst clubs since then, the 1987-88 and 1994-95 Clippers, both of whom wound up 17-65.
Despite their record, Clipper Coach Bill Fitch won’t tolerate any letup in the final month.
“This season isn’t over for anyone,” he said.
