6 Job Recruitment Firms Interviewed

City Council members interviewed six recruiting firms Wednesday to select the best one to lead the search for the next city manager.

David M. Griffith and Associates of Sacramento caught the council’s attention, Eckman said.

“They have the most recent and relevant recruitment experience for city managers in comparable California cities,” Eckman said.

Bids from the six candidates said they would charge from $13,500 to $22,000 to complete the city manager search over 13 to 16 weeks. Griffith’s bid was $18,500, which is subject to negotiation, Eckman said.

“Subject to us doing background checks and finalization of the services agreement, I see this going before council in two weeks,” Eckman said.
