Comarco Inc. Nets $1 Million

Comarco Inc., a provider of wireless communications products and engineering, management and staffing services, reported fourth quarter net income of $1 million, or 18 cents a share, which included an after-tax write-off of $400,000 resulting from defunct software products at a subsidiary. Net income for the same period a year earlier was $1.4 million, or 25 cents a share.

Revenue for the quarter ended Jan. 31 rose 8% to $22.1 million from $20.5 million. Net income for the year increased 4% to a record $4.9 million, or 89 cents a share, from $4.7 million, or 86 cents a share, the previous year. Revenue rose 19% to $85.1 million from $71.4 million.
